Amy Matthias was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio (Perkins Township). She graduated from Perkins High School and went on to study massage therapy at the Harmony Path School of Massage. Matthias obtained her State of Ohio Massage Therapy License in 2007 and became a member of The American Massage Therapist Association. In 2010, Matthias launched Perkins Massotherapy and Wellness, a private home practice with relaxing and therapeutic surroundings. She provides personalized treatment plans based on each client's individual needs, with a concentration on quality care, not quantity. Matthias assures "If I am not the best massage therapist for you based upon your treatment goals, I will refer you to another LMT that can best address your needs."
